Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant/Front Desk individual to join our established and growing healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a friendly and patient personality with a passion for excellent patient care. The individual will also need a strong knowledge of medical terminology, Athena EMR and Practice Suite. Candidates with Phlebotomy experience are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional medical administrative support to healthcare professionals
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out procedures. Answer the phone and schedule patients.
- Assist with billing processes , collections and referrals.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the office environment.
-Use EMR-Athena
-Use Availity software
- Deliver outstanding patient service with empathy, professionalism and friendly outgoing personality.
Draw and process bloodwork.
-Other tasks as directed.
Experience
- Prior experience in a medical office setting is preferred
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems-Athena
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-Phlebotomy experience a huge plus.
