The Line Cook supports the Executive Chef and Sous Chef with providing solution oriented, positive, exemplary customer service to all residents. The Line Cook is responsible for preparation and production of a la-carte lunch and preparation for the dinner shift. Evenings, weekends and holidays required. The Line Cook will perform all duties in the kitchen such as prep work, cleaning, grill, sauté, fry, etc. Responsible for maintaining the highest quality of food standards and keeping work area clean.
Job Duties:
- Station setup and execution of a la carte lunch and dinner service for residents and their guests.
- Responsible for shift breakdown and cleanup of Kitchen and equipment.
- Performs prep according to the Daily Prep Sheet and Executive Chef and Sous Chef request for daily service.
- Responsible for cleaning and preparation of kitchen equipment.
- Ability to follow instructions and recipes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Required Experience: Experience in a commercial kitchen environment/on-the-job training by a Sous Chef /1-2 years in an approved Culinary Arts School preferred.
