The amenities at these facilities include youth & adult softball fields, youth & adult baseball fields, multi-purpose fields, a recreation center, pickleball courts, and tennis courts. If selected, you will collaborate with the rest of the Sports Tourism, Facilities, & Programs division on best practices, renovations, and reservation support to ensure athletic fields and facilities are kept in excellent condition, maintaining structural and aesthetic integrity.

About the Position
In this role, you will...
- Assist with coordinating the operation of the County’s park facilities, including gymnasium, athletic fields & courts, and/or other facilities; performs customer service, office and/or cashier function.
- Oversee the operations of the Englewood Sports Complex Recreation Building in the absence of the Park Supervisor.
- Serve as the primary contact for indoor and outdoor pickleball at Englewood Sports Complex, ensuring all scheduling, court maintenance, cleanliness, and rules are followed. Facilitate indoor programming to ensure fair and equitable use of limited indoor facilities.
- Schedule and coordinate athletic reservations, sports events, practices, and facility usage. Assist with coordinating athletic field reservations and permits through RecTrac.
- Foster relationships with community members, schools, and local sports organizations.
- Address participant concerns, provide excellent customer service, and create an inclusive environment.
- Manage site inventories, prepare reports, and maintain accurate records of reservations, visits, and activities through RecTrac.
- Host multiple events, classes, and rentals simultaneously, ensuring each room meets the customer's needs.
- Schedule facility reservations, coordinate with community groups and instructors and manage activity registrations in Rectrac.
- Conduct facility inspections to identify and report maintenance needs. Assist maintenance staff with field preparation, turf care, line painting, and equipment setup. Respond to emergency maintenance situations as needed.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the County’s park facilities, including gymnasium, athletic fields & courts, offices, and/or other facilities.
About the Schedule
Work Hours:
- Full-Time, 40 hours per week.
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
About You
Minimum Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must have the following:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management, Recreation Leisure Services, Education, Public Administration, Business Administration, or closely related field AND two (2) years of related experience.
- OR A Master’s degree can substitute for one year of professional experience.
- OR Progressively responsible related professional experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.
- Ability to obtain certification in CPR and First Aid within the first six (6) months of employment.
- Valid Florida driver's license within 30 days of hire.
Subject to Passing Substance Screening: This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening. An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment for a period of five years.
Physical Demands: May occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.

About Everything Else
Starting Pay Range: $53,456.00 - $55,057.00 a year, based upon your experience.
