Job Summary
Responsible for the structured orientation, competency assessment, and continuing education programs for staff members of the Respiratory Care Services departments. Collaborates with the management team to identify and prioritize learning needs, develop and implement plans to address needs and evaluate the outcomes of interventions with a focus on quality, safety, and staff development. Acts as a liaison for educational activities between Respiratory Care Services and Nursing and/or other departments as needed. Coordinates quality improvement activities for Respiratory Care Services.
Required Qualifications
- Require a minimum of three (3) years of pertinent respiratory therapy experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer a minimum of five (5) years of Respiratory Therapy supervisory/management experience.
- Prefer clinical and business information systems experience.
- Prefer three (3) years clinical education and quality monitoring experience, including Blood Gas Lab CAP Survey experience.
- Prefer the ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel and management.
