Sarasota Paradise is the region’s only professional sports team, gearing up for an exciting 2025 season at our new home, Premier Sports Campus in Lakewood Ranch. Position Overview: As an Operations & Facilities Support Intern, you will play a vital role in the preparation and execution of game-day events. From setting up facilities to coordinating with visiting teams, you’ll gain valuable experience in sports logistics and operational management. This is an unpaid internship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in pre-game setup, including placement of signage, equipment, and operational readiness of the facility.
- Oversee post-game takedown, ensuring the venue is restored and ready for future use.
- Conduct facility inspections to identify safety concerns and operational improvements.
- Act as the primary liaison for visiting teams, managing locker room logistics and field preparation.
- Maintain a detailed checklist of game-day tasks and ensure timely execution.
- Coordinate with staff and vendors to maintain smooth game-day operations.
- Collaborate with the Director of Operations to address logistical challenges and implement solutions.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Sports Management, Facilities Management, or related field.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks and handle event setups.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with diverse teams.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt in fast-paced environments.
