Responsibilities of a Social Services Manager:
- Hold classes for all personnel for review of safety measures, fire procedure, and infection control;
- Give recognition for work well done verbally and through use of anecdotal notes;
- Maintain records of all education conducted;
Qualifications for a Social Services Manager:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Social Work (BSW) or related field required, such as Human Services, Psychology, Sociology, Gerontology, Special Education, and/or Rehabilitation Counseling.
- Social Worker license in the state of employment a plus / required (i.e., LBSW, LSW, LCSW, LMSW, etc.). (Remove if your center does not require the position to be licensed)
- One (1 ) years’ supervised social worker experience working directly with individuals in a medical / health care setting required.
- Prior Long-Term Care, Skilled Nursing, or related healthcare social work experience strongly preferred.
