This is an in-office position at our Saratoga Hospital location in Saratoga Springs, NY.
Summary of Position:
This position supports financial analysis and reporting for physician practices directly employed or contracted by the organization, Saratoga Hospital Medical Group (SHMG). The position is responsible for providing timely and accurate financial information to internal and external users.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Complete month end close for SHMG practices including professional revenues, expenses, and provider compensation calculations.
- Preparation of monthly SHMG financial reports in accordance with required timelines.
- Performs analysis of revenue variances for SHMG practices as needed.
- Participates in development of SHMG business plan, financial projections, and development of budget adjustments.
- Initial development of SHMG annual baseline revenue and expense budgets.
- Compiles and ensures integrity of data required for SHMG benchmarking reporting.
- Develops projections for financial impacts of quality and risk-based reimbursement programs SHMG practices are participating in with a variety of third-party payors (ex. CPC ).
- Prepares initial analysis of provider productivity/incentive calculations.
- Collaborates with other internal resources supporting analytics and revenue cycle initiatives for the SHMG to ensure consistent and concise data gathering and reporting.
- Acts as a resource to members of the SHMG administrative team as it relates to SHMG financials and business planning activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Bachelors Degree in Administration with a major in Accounting and a minimum of 5 years of professional experience directly related to accounting is required. Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred.

- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint at a minimum, knowledge of Access or other database management software preferred.
- Ability to efficiently organize large amounts of information.
- Ability to work in a number of different scenarios including adherence to strict guidelines in some cases and highly independent work in other cases. The ability to work as part of a team for larger objectives, but also the ability to self-manage for instances where the skills unique to this position are the only ones needed to complete an objective.
Salary Range: $26.97 - $47.44
