What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sleep Lab Scorer-(On-Site) position at Saratoga Hospital?
Summary of Position:
A Polysomnographic Technologist working under the general supervision of the clinical director or designee to score and evaluate sleep studies.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Scores sleep / wake stages by applying professionally accepted guidelines
Scores clinical events (such as respiratory events, cardiac events, limb movements, arousals, etc) utilizing AASM Standards
Generate accurate reports by verifying sleep / wake and clinical event data
Demonstrates the knowledge and skill to provide age specific care in the treatment, assessment, and education of adolescent, adult and geriatric patients
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to perform portable monitoring equipment preparation and data download
Performs patient education and instruction appropriate for our of center sleep testing
Demonstrates adherence to cleaning and disinfection procedures for portable monitoring devices
Demonstrates adherence to AASM scoring parameters for HSAT; identifies artifact, inadequate signals and study failures, generates accurate reports
Minimum Qualifications:
Successful completion of an accredited educational program leading to an associate degree with emphasis in polysomnography. Current certification by the American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM) as a Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) or equivalent.
Salary Range: $29.67 - $52.19
Pay Grade: K10
Compensation may vary based upon, but not limited to: overall experience and qualifications, shift, and location.
