Facilities and Maintenance Associate

Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) is seeking a dedicated Facilities and Maintenance Associate to be the backbone of our facilities. Some Key Responsibilities:

• Follow direction from the VP, Operations, and complete assigned tasks promptly.
• Maintain buildings and grounds, including material transport, cleaning, landscaping, seasonal prep, mail distribution, and office upkeep.
• Manage SPAC vehicles and perform and/or assist with basic maintenance/repairs.
• Conduct routine facility inspections and assist with event logistics.
• Serve as Manager on Duty for rental events, overseeing operations from setup to cleanup.
• Understand venue capabilities, including AV, HVAC, and rental supplies.
• Perform manual labor, including event setup, teardown, and troubleshooting.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 plus years of facility maintenance preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions from supervisors and senior management.
• Knowledge of general maintenance and repair to assist with basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Self-motivated and ability to maintain focus while working individually.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Flexibility to work weekend and evening hours during the busy season.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into small spaces.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to outdoor elements, inclement weather, and varying temperatures.
• Ability to work long and irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay: $18.50 - $26.50 per hour
