What You’ll Be Doing:
You will be responsible for receiving and coordinating incoming calls, ensuring that residents and visitors' needs are met promptly and efficiently. Your role will involve maintaining a high level of customer service, participating in person-centered care activities, and facilitating the smooth exchange of information between departments. Additionally, you will oversee the recruitment, hiring, placement, and scheduling for all Assisted Living/Memory Care employees.
How’ll You’ll Do It:
- Advocate for resident rights and ensure operations prioritize their best interests.
- Develop and coordinate staffing schedules for all Assisted Living/Memory Care employees, maintaining accurate documentation of schedules, absences, no-call/no-shows, and time-off requests.
- Complete status reports and communicate personnel changes (e.g., new hires, transfers, terminations) to the HR Director.
- Notify managers regarding missed punches, breaks, lunches, and communicate staffing changes to the Director of Health Services or alternates.
- Support the hiring process by coordinating with HR on open positions, compensation, interviewing candidates, and assisting with new employee orientation.
- Manage and maintain the central supply, ensuring it is organized, coordinating orders, and stocking supplies for Health Services.
- Inspect resident rooms to ensure that DME, oxygen, and other ancillaries are accounted for.
- Attend and participate in continuing education programs and in-services.
- Maintain awareness of safety risks, follow up on identified issues, and respond to emergency calls according to protocol.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
About You:
- Minimum of 1 year’s experience in long-term care or a healthcare environment preferred. Experience in clerical office work, reception, scheduling, or a related field is also preferred.
- Knowledge of basic recruitment and HR practices, employment law and regulations.
- Demonstrated understanding of functions, organization, policy, regulations and procedures of a long-term care/skilled nursing facility.
- Exceptional customer service, communication and organizational skills, especially with cognitively impaired residents. High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with others as well as function independently.
- Knowledge of and follow through with universal precautions.
Schedule:
- Full-Time Hours: Monday – Friday
Wages:
- $27.00 - $31.00 per hour, depending on experience.
