This internship offers a valuable opportunity for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in Desktop Support and Security within a dynamic corporate environment. The IT Intern will work closely with our IT team to provide technical assistance to end-users, ensure the security of our systems and networks, and contribute to various IT projects and initiatives. In this position, the intern will gain a better understanding of an Information Technology department by assisting in a variety of areas including; operational support for infrastructure systems, networks, telecommunications, video conferencing and services. This includes assisting in the installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining the Microsoft Windows and Mac OS desktop and notebook computers, peripherals, iPads, and associated peripherals including AV equipment. The intern will also have opportunities to network with all other departments within the organization.

Essential Functions
The starting salary range for this position is $15.00 hourly to $19.00 hourly. Salary offers will typically be made in the listed range. The Company takes into consideration a candidate’s education, training, and experience, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value, including merit process and internal pay alignment when determining the salary for potential new team members. Essential Functions
- Provide Level 1 helpdesk support to company users regarding desktop hardware, software and peripherals devices as directed by the Vice President of Infrastructure and Security Officer
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving IT-related issues, including desktop/laptop configurations, network connectivity, and software installations
- Participate in desktop imaging and deployment projects, including system upgrades and software rollouts
- Maintain inventory of all hardware and software resources and parts
- Assist in monitoring and responding to security incidents and alerts, performing initial investigations and escalating as necessary
- Assist in documenting IT procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps to maintain an up-to-dates knowledge base
- Maintain excellent communication with all end users and other members of the Technology Department
- Work with outside vendors as directed by IT Leadership
- Execute other assigned tasks or projects as assigned
- Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical people
- Ability to recognize, analyze and effectively solve problems in a timely and organized manner using industry best practices and procedures
- Familiarity with IT security principles and best practices, including antivirus software, firewalls, and data encryption
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Business; a minimum of a junior status for 2025
- 1 to 3 years relevant coursework in Information Technology systems or Business
- Strong interest in pursuing a career in IT, particularly in Desktop Support and Security
- Knowledge of desktop operating systems (Windows, macOS), productivity software (Microsoft Office), and basic networking concepts
