Job Title: Construction Project Superintendent
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Superintendent to oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects from start to finish. The superintendent will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. The Superintendent will coordinate with project managers, owners, clients, subcontractors, inspectors and others to ensure smooth execution and successful project completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage all on-site construction activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, codes, and project documents.
- Develop and maintain construction schedules to meet project deadlines.
- Coordinate with all stakeholders to ensure project efficiency.
- Inspect work progress, materials, and craftsmanship to ensure quality standards are met.
- Identify and resolve potential issues or delays proactively.
- Maintain daily reports of site operations, progress, and any challenges encountered.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of construction equipment and tools.
- Conduct safety meetings and enforce job site safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure project goals are met.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in construction management or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction supervision.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety regulations, and building codes.
- Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction, drawings, specifications, models, geotechnical reports, and technical documents.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- OSHA certification and other relevant safety training are preferred.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- This position requires working on active construction sites, often in varying weather conditions.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and work on uneven surfaces for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs. when necessary.
