Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Calling on customers in assigned territory, selling new and used recycling equipment as well as assisting the service department.
- Identifying and cultivating new sales opportunities.
- Following up and maintaining existing customer relations.
- Developing and maintaining strong knowledge of Recycling Equipment including Balers, Conveyors, and Compactors.
- Equipment startup and training may be required on machinery at a customer's site.
- Coordinating delivery and pickup of equipment.
- Prepare equipment proposals.
- Work with vendors on equipment solutions.
- Assisting with account receivables collections.
- Effectively understanding and using manufactures programs and resources to generate new business.
- Represent the company at events, seminars and trade shows.
- Follows all safety rules and regulations while preforming work assignments and adheres to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- High school diploma, GED, or Vocational Training/Certification.
- Minimum 0f 2-4 years sales experience in equipment sales or similar field.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask is a must.
- Computer skills required including all Microsoft Office applications.
- Personal appearance must be neat and clean.
- Equipment knowledge or previous industry experience is a plus.
*This position will require you to have a valid Driver's License. Sargent's Equipment will review your Motor Vehicle Report to ensure all requirements are met for you to operate a company vehicle.
