About the Role - As the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating quality activities to achieve company objectives. Reporting directly to the CEO/President, you'll play a key role in maintaining and improving our competitive position through strategic quality management.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and recommend short and long-term objectives aligned with company goals. Create policies and programs to maintain and enhance our competitive position and profitability.
- Quality Coordination: Use modern techniques like FMEA, process flow, total quality management, and inventory management to ensure high reliability in manufacturing processes.
- Issue Resolution: Coordinate and resolve field product, supplier, and internal quality issues. Lead the Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) process.
- New Business and Standards: Participate in new business proposals and establish quality standards for the factory.
- Quality Goals: Develop plans to meet quality goals and reduce waste in production processes.
- Certifications Management: Coordinate company quality certifications such as AS9100, ISO, and NADCAP.
- Audits: Perform internal and supplier audits to ensure compliance with standards.
- Leadership: Act as the company's quality management representative and lead management review meetings.
- QMS Management: Oversee the Quality Management System (QMS) and document control systems.
- Team Supervision: Supervise and manage the quality team.
- Gage Calibration: Maintain the gage calibration system and track quality metrics.
- Customer Relations: Monitor and manage customer supplier portal information for multiple customers.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Implement and enforce company policies on personnel, safety, EEO, and housekeeping.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related discipline.
- 4 years of management experience in Quality Control/Quality Assurance within a manufacturing environment.
- A strong understanding of IPC specifications and AS9100 is required.
- Aerospace experience is required.
- US Citizenship is a requirement for this job.
