Job Description
Job Description
Sasaki is looking for architectural designers in the first 4-8 years of their careers to take on versatile roles in design initiation, development, and implementation at our Denver or Boston locations.
Sasaki is an interdisciplinary design practice that includes architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, civil engineering, planning, and urban design. We intentionally take on challenging work that we see as opportunities to evolve and stretch. Our ethos of curiosity and growth extends to our teammates. Curiosity, critical thinking skills, and a collaborative spirit are important to the success of our ambitious design practice. We guard our small-firm feel, focusing less on hierarchy than on working together. Both our body of work and our workforce are diverse; every project team is different.
We are looking for candidates who are passionate about great design and believe that collaboration with clients and colleagues is the best way to achieve it. At Sasaki you will be encouraged to have a point of view, to share your thinking often, to push design further, and to develop a comfortable rapport with clients. We prefer to develop our leaders from within and we are looking for project architects who can grow into leadership positions over time.
Sasaki is headquartered in Boston with smaller offices in New York, Shanghai, Denver, and Los Angeles. We are looking for multiple hires for this position with roles to be filled in both our Denver office and our Boston office. Both locations require at least three days a week face-to-face in our downtown Denver or downtown Boston studio, with robust support for hybrid work.
What you’ll do :
- Generate design concepts, from early design phases through coordination and detailing
- Work through technical challenges and consultant coordination to implement design intent
- Communicate and present design intent to team and clients, using a variety of representation and presentation techniques
- Work closely with teams to solve complex design problems

- Lead, delegate, and critique work effectively; take ownership of aspects of the project and the design while collaborating with all members of the team
