Duties : Conceptualize and diagram alternative concepts and analyze and ensure project compliance with regulatory requirements; utilize hand sketch, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, Grasshopper, V-ray, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, GIS, and Microsoft Office to represent and communicate ideas with various stakeholders; perform varied planning, traffic, and environmental analysis, including zoning, density analysis, site / land planning, feasibility analysis, and developmental impact assessment; communicate with project managers, senior landscape architects / urban designers, clients, and other project personnel regarding various aspects of project development; oversee engagement with a range of clients including commercial developers, universities, campus stakeholders, municipalities, and city planners through all phases of urban planning and design; performing all aspects of urban design, programming and conceptual design (including sketches, illustrative graphics, 3D modeling, rendering, spatial analysis, and space utilization), through document production while coordinating and facilitating workflow processes; prepare and provide guidelines for the production of project reports and supporting graphics, tables, and charts, and develop project designs in all phases of assigned planning and urban design projects; and, manage the presentation and report development from clients and conceive, design, and communicate master plans and cityscapes from a blank canvas.
Requirements : Master's degree in Architecture, City planning or related field (willing to accept foreign equivalent) and 3 years of experience as an Urban designer or related occupation performing urban planning and design or, alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in Architecture, City planning or related field (willing to accept foreign equivalent) and 5 years of experience as an Urban designer or related occupation performing urban planning and design.
Hybrid position - Must report to the Denver office 3 days / week.
