Sash and Frame is seeking a technician to join our team in a full-time position on-site. Candidates at or slightly above entry level in terms of experience (1-2 years construction or related trades) are encouraged to apply.
This position will work on multiple projects and jobsites as part of a collaborative team with a shared commitment to design excellence, buildability, client service, and professional growth opportunities.
The scope of work on a jobsite can be anywhere from 1 day at a job site to 2 continuous weeks at a time.
Technicians must be able to juggle travel, multiple project tasks, requests, and demands from the team, all while communicating in a timely, positive, firm manner, making sure they are receiving quality responses and instruction from their team and project leads. This will require an above-average level of communication to perform the work required.
Ideal candidates possess the enthusiasm to learn about new products, processes, and techniques so we may continue to meet the demands of our expanding customer base.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Able to travel a minimum of 30 weeks per year
- Able to lift a minimum of 70 lbs.
- 1 years’ experience in construction or related trades (required)
- Basic understanding of hand tools, power tools, and associated safety measures
- Experience reading plans, instructions, and manufacturers/installation guides
- Above-average communication skills
- Able to lift a minimum of 70 lbs.
- Valid driver's license to operate company vehicles and access to reliable transportation to and from company warehouse/office
- Able to work in a variety of site conditions (all weather conditions, dusty environment, uneven terrain, tight or high places like scaffolding and crawlspaces)
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Travel to job sites throughout the US, focused mostly in the Northeastern US and the Rocky Mountains
- Maintain a safe, secure, and clean workspace
- Work as a team to hold all team members accountable for production goals in
- Be attentive, inquisitive, and empathetic to others
- Promote a good image of the company before the public
- Since custom residential construction sites are a constantly changing environment, you must have patience and thrive in an ever-changing environment.
- Report daily job site activity via photos and notes on a smartphone through an app (provided by S F) for progress reporting and improving practices and procedures

- 40 hours minimum of PAID, recurring annual employee training offered. Certification programs include MEWP, Telehandler, OSHA, SST, FGIA Installation Masters, Passive House Certified Tradesperson, and more.
