Job Summary
Barback/Busser/Food Runner | Sasha's Wine Bar, DeMun location (Clayton)
We are a family owned and operated business seeking strong, confident, part-time or full-time barbacks that also bus tables and food run. The ideal candidate will have a desire to provide great hospitality, maintain cleanliness, and ensure efficient service with a positive attitude. Our barbacks are often offered promotions to server/bartender as applicable.
Qualifications
- Willingness to engage in our continuing education programs for our beverage and food menus.
- Strong customer service skills in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and regulations
- Previous experience in fine dining or upscale establishments is a plus
Experience
- Previous experience in beverage service and food service is loved but not required.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the food industry is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Assist bartenders by stocking, cleaning and polishing glassware, and general service needs to ensure top quality guest experience.
- Being attentive to the tables and pre-bussing plates and glassware as needed, and to bus tables once guests exit the building. This role is collaborative with the service team.
- Being prompt to attend to the food window when the bell is rung, and running food to the correct tables or bar seats.
- Attend to the buildings cleanliness, set-up, and breakdown needs as necessary. These needs/duties change by day and depend on the weather.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food items.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries or concerns promptly.

Pay: $6.88/hr and Average tips of $10 - $20 per hour. Barbacks earn half-hours in our tip pool environment, and are then expected to be a team player and do everything possible to provide an excellent guest experience.
