Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday - 11:00 am - 7:30 pm & Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm (If production is working on Friday - 11:00 am - 7:30 pm)
Total Earnings potential: $27.15/hr
Base Pay: $19/hr (promotional opportunities after 90 days)
Annual Bonus: 10% of total annual pay (avg over three years)

The Material Handler I is responsible for providing raw material movement and logistical support to Sashco's internal and external customers and ultimately supporting our production and shipping operations.
What You Will Do
- Receive raw/packaging materials in a timely manner so the ability to stand at least 6 to 8 hours a day, work with your hands, arms and be extremely accurate is crucial.
- Work closely with Purchasing, Quality and Production to receive materials and deliver them to the Production work cells.
- Assist Purchasing in verifying quantities of incoming raw materials and receipting them into the ERP software.
- Support Production to ensure that raw materials are receipted and delivered according to the Production schedule.
- Carry or transport orders to shipping locations or delivery platforms with material handling equipment ensuring orders are staged in order of delivery, which requires the ability to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl on a regular basis. You should also be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Maintain material handling equipment by noting and reporting any damage or malfunction.
- Ensure proper placement of inventory and accuracy of inventory transactions and cycle counts by using tools (white boards) to communicate improvements & promote lean practices to make areas more efficient (5S)

Qualifications

- The ability to operate a forklift or other factory equipment.
- Expert knowledge of the pull system
- General operating knowledge of and experience with personal computers, RF scanners, tablets.
- Strong critical thinking, decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and an ability to work in a team.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities with frequent interruptions.
- Ability to work in and around chemicals
