Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the administration of team member benefits programs, including health insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, 401(k), and wellness initiatives.
Respond to team member inquiries regarding benefits, eligibility, claims, and enrollment processes.
Support open enrollment processes, including team member communications, data entry, and follow-up.
Maintain accurate records and process benefit-related transactions in HRIS and vendor systems.
Assist in ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations (e.g., ACA, FMLA, COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA).
Coordinate benefit enrollments, terminations, and life event changes.
Assist with wellness programs, team member engagement initiatives, and benefits education efforts.
Support the HR team in other administration related to onboarding, reporting, audits, and reconciliation of invoicing.
Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory updates related to employment and benefits.
Adhere to Suburban Automotive Services’ DRIVEN values and align business practices to support the SAS mission and vision.
Qualifications:
Pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Previous internship or administrative experience in HR, benefits, or a related field is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Experience with HRIS systems is a plus but not required.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Eagerness to learn and develop in the field of benefits administration.
Must be a self-starter.
Must be a reliable team player.
