We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Billing Coordinator to join our fast-paced plaintiff's employment law firm. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting skills and experience with legal billing software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily reconciliation of bank and accounting software balances
- Monthly billing cycle management, including preparation and review of client invoices
- Trust account reconciliation and management
- Credit card reconciliation and expense tracking
- Processing client payments and managing deposits
- Coordinating with attorneys for billing reviews and approvals
- Maintaining accurate financial records and generating reports as needed
- Assisting with year-end financial tasks, including 1099 preparation
- Assist with law firm marketing and social media promotion
Requirements:
- Experience with legal billing software (preferably Caret)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of trust account management
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information
- Must pass a background check
