Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Strategy: Establish and execute departmental goals in alignment with organizational objectives, focusing on clinical excellence and patient safety
- Operational Management: Oversee patient care delivery, information systems, service levels, and resolve complaints to achieve quality and performance targets
- Staffing & Development: Manage hiring, onboarding, evaluations, and continuing education to maintain a high-performing team
- Financial Oversight: Prepare and monitor the department’s budget to ensure operations stay within allocated funding
- Compliance & Audits: Direct internal and external audits to maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Professional Growth: Foster a work environment that promotes professional development and continuous learning
- Clinical Expertise: Serve as a resource for staff on obstetrical and neonatal care issues
- Minimum of Associate’s Degree is required
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
- At least 5 years of nursing experience in the relevant field, with a substantial portion in a leadership or management role within women's health services, obstetrics, or a related area
- Must be a Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Kentucky
- AWHON Certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP)
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
