JOB ANALYSIS
The position of Human Resource Director is to manage and participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies and priorities for assigned program including recruitment, selection and placement, collective bargaining agreement administration, contract negotiations and arbitration, personnel records maintenance, and the administration of the classification and job evaluation systems; recommend, within school policy, appropriate service and staffing levels; recommend and administer policies and procedures. The Director of Human Resource Director is also responsible for effectively coordinating a collaborative process between management and employees which develops working conditions and compensations that maintains an efficient and effective workforce, interpreting and supporting the administration of personnel policies and maintains and supports employee’s needs of the District.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
(The following are illustrative of the responsibilities associated with this position and are not intended to be all-inclusive.)
· Develop and implement human resources policies and procedures.
· Ensure compensation and benefits are in line with school district’s policies and legislation.
· Coordinates final staffing assignments and recommendations within budgetary constraints, subject to final recommendations by the Superintendent to the School Board.
· Support annual salary review and issues all employment contracts.
· Handle employee complaints, grievances and disputes.
· Administer employee discipline processes.
· Conduct exit interviews.
· Compiles data for and prepares a variety of records, reports and recommendations as required by individual schools, the District, the State and/or other agencies.
· Review and update employee rules and regulations.
· Maintain the human resource information system and employee database.
· Coordinate employee safety, welfare and wellness.
· Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting HR functions.
· Coordinate Union Negotiations and collect data from surrounding school districts.
· Creates an atmosphere of trust and mutual respect, maintain open channels of communication to and from staff, and evaluate staff fairly and effectively.
· Coordinates the Worker’s Compensation Program.
· Processes recommendations for the discipline and/or termination of employees, assembling substantiating information, and arranging and conducting, as needed, conferences and hearings.
· Manages grievances and cases which result in arbitration and mediation.
· Provides in-house consulting for District administrators and staff; provides information to and assists supervisors in resolving employee relations and work performance problems in accordance with District policies, procedures and all pertinent laws and regulations.
· Any other duties as assigned by the Superintendent of Schools.

QUALIFICATIONS
· Degree in Human Resources Management, or equivalent
· Generalist Human Resources/Benefits Coordinator experience
· Knowledge of the principles and practices of HR management
· Knowledge of business principles
· Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
· Knowledge of relevant software preferred
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Full year position. Refer to the contract between the Londonderry School Board and the position holder.
EVALUATION
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of Professional Personnel.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
