Applicants will be subjected to a criminal background check as required by law. (RSA 189:13-a)Required Skills- Proficiency with or ability to quickly learn student information systems (e.g., PowerSchool) and other digital tools.- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.- Clear and professional communication skills across phone, email, radio, and in-person interactions.- Ability to support and reinforce expectations for student behavior and attendance in a positive and student-centered manner.- High level of discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive or confidential information.- Dependability and initiative, with consistent demonstration of positive work habits.- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.- Commitment to student safety, well-being, and inclusion.Other Preferred Skills and Considerations- Experience working in a school or student-centered environment.- Prior experience using PowerSchool or other school-based attendance and data platforms.- Familiarity with school safety protocols, emergency operations, or crisis response procedures.- Evaluation: Performance of position responsibilities will be evaluated annually in accordance with the approved administrative procedure for staff evaluation.General Duties: - Oversee student attendance management- Monitor attendance phone line and email; communicate with families regarding attendance-related matters.- Accurately document absences, tardies, and dismissals in PowerSchool.- Oversee and issue attendance, tardy, and truancy notifications.- Manage daily student sign-in/out procedures, including for tardies, early dismissals, and off-campus privileges.- Communicate with teachers about attendance, including sports dismissals and follow-ups.- Compile and share attendance data for student support teams.- Provide main office/student service communication support as needed.- Support the execution of evacuation and lockdown drills.Monitor Building Access and Support Campus Safety- Manage the main entrance and ensure controlled building access.- Register and track all visitors; receive and manage materials/items dropped off for students.- Facilitate radio communication with administration and the district emergency channel.- Relay urgent maintenance needs to custodial staff.- Provide coverage for the school nurse as needed to support student safety and well-being.- Coordinate with the bus company on general and specialized transportation needs.- Manage staff and student parking assignments, permits, and related communications.Other professional responsibilities- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Dean of Students or Principal.- Maintain the highest standards of professionalism;- Demonstrate positive work habits by showing initiative, cooperation, dependability, efficiency, and productivity- Follow the guidelines of confidentiality as established by the school district- Attend and participate in relevant training sessions, meetings, and professional growth activities as requested/required- Perform in a professional manner when interacting with students, parents, faculty, administration, and co-workers- Standing: Frequent Lifting: Occasional/Frequent- Walking: Frequent Bending/stooping: Occasional/Frequent- Sitting: Frequent Reaching: Occasional/Frequent- Driving: Infrequent/Rare Push/Pull: Occasional/FrequentThis job description is not intended to be all inclusive, and employees will also perform other tasks and assume other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor(s).
