(RSA 189:13-a)Licensure/Certification Requirements: - State of NH Certification endorsement 0608 (Spanish) and 0609 (French)Evaluation: - Evaluation will be based on ability and effectiveness in carrying out the responsibilities of the position as defined.- Performance will be reviewed by Administrators in cooperation with the Superintendent and in accordance with School Board policy.Required Skills: - Successful experience working with middle school-aged adolescentstudents.- Must be able to work one on one and in groups.- Excellent communication skills, well-organized, efficient, reliable, independent, and well- developed collaborative skills.- Demonstrated commitment to, Engage, Support and Challenge All Learners.Other Preferred Skills and Considerations: - Experience with implementing New Hampshire Guidelines For World-Ready Language Learninginto classroom instruction- Experience with competency-based education and assessmentGeneral Responsibilities: - Design and implement engaging, standards-aligned French and/or Spanish curriculum that fosters language acquisition, cultural awareness, and communication skills.- Develop lesson plans that incorporate speaking, listening, reading, and writing in the target language, emphasizing real-world applications.- Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles, proficiency levels, and student needs.- Utilize a variety of assessment methods to measure student progress and inform instruction.- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and risk-taking in language learning.- Integrate technology and authentic resources to enhance language learning and cultural connections.- Collaborate with colleagues, including world language department members, to align curriculum and share best practices.- Communicate regularly with students, families, and school staff regarding student progress and language learning strategies.- Participate in professional development, school events, and extracurricular opportunities to support student engagement and school culture.- Uphold school and district policies, maintaining high expectations for student behavior and achievement.
