Position Overview:
We are seeking our first Director of Operations who will oversee and drive operational excellence across our four wine bars, delivering consistent guest experiences, and fostering a positive, high-performing team culture. Reporting directly to the owners/management team, the Director of Operations will play a key part in executing our vision across markets while supporting team managers and team members to meet business goals. Our ideal candidate has 3 years of multi-unit experience and will have a track record of developing strong teams. This role is based in New York City with regularly required travel to our other markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership
- Oversee daily operations for all locations, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and excellence in service.
- Establish and maintain operational procedures and standards across locations.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance guest and team experiences.
Team Management
- Provide leadership and mentorship to our General Manager and Captains, fostering growth and accountability.
- Collaborate with location leaders to manage staffing needs, hiring, training, and team development.
- Act as a resource for problem-solving, conflict resolution, and team morale-building.
Guest Experience & Brand Standards
- Ensure each location delivers a relaxed, fun, and welcoming environment consistent with the brand vision.
- Monitor guest feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain high-quality food and beverage service, partnering with the culinary and beverage teams to uphold excellence.
Financial & Strategic Oversight
- Develop and manage budgets, tracking KPIs and financial performance across locations.
- Work with location leaders to control costs and drive profitability.
- Assist with strategic planning for expansion or improvements.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience in hospitality operations
- 3 years in multi-unit management
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
- Passion for creating positive guest and team experiences
- Interest in wine is a strong plus; prior wine knowledge is not required

Pay: $125,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
