Job Position: Maintenance Technician
Reports to: General Manager of Facilities
Hours: Full-time
Primary Function
Provides mechanical and maintenance support throughout the Sauder Village complex, ensuring that facilities are well-maintained at all times. This position must be willing to work some evenings and take turns working weekends as needed.
Essential Functions (Responsibilities) include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Perform preventative maintenance of systems throughout the complex, according to the prescribed schedule.
2. Maintain machinery and tools such as: tractors, train cars, cars, trucks, gators, golf carts, mowers, etc.
3. Maintain service records.
4. Maintain equipment including HVAC equipment, pool equipment, and all other systems and equipment throughout these facilities as assigned.
5. Visually inspect the complex, identify all facility-related needs in each, and perform necessary work in these areas. Determine priorities in coordination with the maintenance management team.
6. Report to the maintenance management team any problem areas and propose solutions to those problems.
7. Operate and maintain the pool/spa/splash pad, ensuring that pool sanitation and treatment are to health department standards.
8. Perform basic iron work, including welding and cutting.
9. Perform upkeep and repairs of buildings throughout the complex.
10. Perform light backhoe work, including water, sewer, and field tile repairs.
11. Pest control (including insects and wild animals) as needed.
12. Perform maintenance according to prescribed schedule and maintain records.
13. Install and repair equipment.
14. Ensure compliance with all safety protocols.
15. Change and maintain lighting systems (light bulbs, ballasts, etc.)
16. Maintain supply of stock repair inventory.
17. Assist with banquets & conference setups as needed.
18. Other duties as assigned.
19. Provide exceptional guest experiences.
20. Communicate effectively with guests, team leaders, management and coworkers of all areas in Sauder Village.
21. Keep the safety of guests, staff, and self a priority.
22. Work into an on-call rotation to assist after hours along with weekend repairs when needed.
23. Work as needed including some evenings, weekends, and holidays.

1. Knowledge of all aspects of general maintenance including plumbing, heating, electrical and HVAC.
2. Ability to lift in excess of 80 pounds, periodic climbing, and other skills associated with facility maintenance.
3. May involve working in an environment that uses chemicals for cleaning, maintenance, equipment upkeep, etc.
4. Ability to work in an environment that is not always climate controlled.
5. Must have valid driver’s license.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
