A market-leading manufacturer offering new opportunities in Cache County, Utah is seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Drafter to assist with the quest to provide the highest quality compressor solutions. Responsibilities:
- Produces manufacturing drawings for compressor assemblies to be packaged internally and parts for outsourcing
- Creates production drawings per Engineers bill of materials, sketches, etc.
- Revises and updates existing drawings to reflect design changes
- Verifies latest revisions are on record
- Creates and maintains technical documentation in conjunction with Technical Documentation Manager
- Prepares as-built documentation based on production red-lines and engineering change orders
- Maintains and updates parts within Autodesk Professional Suite
- Communicates with Sales, Production, Procurement and Engineering team members on drawings and designs
- Stays up to date with project tracking software, ISO documentation requirements and various other procedures and processes
- Accomplishes other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma required; related associates degree preferred
- CAD certification preferred
- 2 years minimum related experience with creating parts and assemblies with 3D drafting software (Autodesk Inventor or similar)
- Understanding of design considerations for machining, fabrication, and assembly
- Must be willing to work within a team environment
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize, within high-paced environment
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe
- Clear understanding of project flows and manufacturing processes
- Preferred experience working under ISO9001
- Inventory management software experience preferred
