What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Engineer - Construction position at Sauer Construction, LLC?
Responsible for:
Onsite support working directly for Project Manager to perform daily functions working closely with Sauer site team to manage work flow and subcontractors.
Essential Functions:
- Work with Sauer project team and subcontractors to resolve construction issues and coordinate progress
- Maintain RFI log, as-builts, project schedule, close out documents and material status logs
- Develop purchase orders, subcontractor documentation, weekly owners meeting agenda and other general project requirements
- Ensure Company procedures and standards are maintained
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering required
- Engineering Discipline (preferred)
- Military Engineer Experience Valued (Army Engineer, Air Force RED HORSE, Navy SEABEE, etc.)
Skills/Competencies:
Able to perform the following activities: standing and walking for long periods of time, stooping, bending, climbing (ladder, scaffold, steps, etc.), working overtime and weekends as needed. Ability to push, pull, and frequently lift and carry objects. Able to withstand weather elements (including but not limited to heat, wind, rain, etc.).
