Registration Specialist – Patient Access – Summer Employment (Limited Term) Looking for summer employment and have an interest in healthcare? Sauk Prairie Healthcare is recruiting students or others seeking limited-term employment. Summer employment options available for 11 weeks starting in May or June, to assist our Specialty clinics located at our hospital campus in Prairie du Sac. Work hours are generally 8:00am-4:30pm, start and end time may vary occasionally. 40 hours per week. Do You Belong Here? We are seeking a Registration Specialist to: Welcome patients and their family members on the phone and in person with a warm greeting. Answer the telephone and use the appropriate greeting. Use professional and courteous language and maintain a positive tone in every encounter with both external and internal customers. Actively listen to patients to best meet their needs, while showing empathy. Keep patients informed of any delays in the process. Take responsibility for the encounter and received calls, including transfers to internal departments. Schedule appointments for patients in a friendly, professional manner. Direct phone calls to the appropriate staff or take complete messages and route them to the appropriate person in a timely manner. Gather appointment, demographic and insurance information when scheduling appointments. Verify patient demographic and insurance information upon check-in. Assist patients with completing and signing all required documentation and questionnaires. Communicate any required payment due at the time of check in when scheduling. Collect all co-pay and self-pay balance payments. Send all payments and receipts to business office. Keep current with changes in insurance benefits. Open and deliver mail daily. Cross train and staff other clinics as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Hourly Rate: $17.69/hour Sauk Prairie Healthcare’s Locations – Sauk Prairie Healthcare has locations across southwest Wisconsin. Our Hospital Campus, Wellspring Campus and 3 surgical specialty practices are located in Prairie du Sac. Our primary care clinics are located in Mazomanie, Plain, Spring Green, Prairie du Sac, and Lodi.
