What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAD Technician position at Sauna360 Inc?
Sauna360 Inc, a Watkins Wellness/Masco company, would love you to join our dynamic team as a CAD Technician. You will support Sales in the design process utilizing software design tools and documentation protocols; support manufacturing for manufacturing room construction drawings and cut sheets; and support materials with component drawing for vendors. Starting wage is between $21 - $23 per hour.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- With minimum supervision, directly support Sales CAD by drawing 2D Top View Floor plans for sauna room layout
- Quality and accuracy of drawings is very important to include reviewing your own drawings.
- Advise Sales on correct sauna room layout concepts
- Create drawing using company and AutoCAD Standards
- Create 2D Elevation View for sauna room
- Create drawings for interior walls, ceilings, and benches to include BOM for rooms, down to component level
- Assist with shop drawings and cut sheets for production.
- Work with Sales, Sauna Production Manager and CAD Supervisor to suggest changes for product and process improvements to quality, reduce cycle times and /or correct nonconformities.
- Provide regular, consistent, and timely attendance
- Maintains all aspects of workplace organization to include cleanliness and organization of work area.
- Other duties as assigned by the CAD Supervisor
RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS:
- Extensive contact with Sales, Manufacturing and CAD Group
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Education or GED
- Very strong computer skills, software/hardware experience
- Ability to visualize working concepts
- 2D CAD experience
- Strong math skills
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Excellent people skills, team oriented and an upbeat attitude
- Excellent organizational, particularly in computer file management, and time management skills
- Quality conscience
- Excellent math and writing aptitude
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Background in architectural/construction methods and materials
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables
