What are the responsibilities and job description for the Therapy Aide for Rehabilitation Department position at Saunders Nursing and Rehabilitation Center?
Saunders Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is in Wynnewood, PA. The staff at Saunders are dedicated to working as a professional team providing a caring and compassionate home-like environment for all residents. We are looking for a full-time Therapy Aide to help with various duties as assigned by the Director of Rehabilitation.
Responsibilities include :
Provides assistance to the Director, Therapists and Therapy Assistants.
Completes administrative duties such as filing and copying. Files medical records promptly and accurately.
Works with insurance authorization / verification as directed by the Rehab Director.
Completes and maintains general organization and cleaning of the therapy room.
Communicates in a clear, respectful, and caring manner with residents / patients, families and caregivers.
Performs chart audits as directed by the Rehab Director.
Transports residents / patients to and from therapy for treatment.
Sets up and delivers resident / patient schedules to nursing unites.
Comply with department and facility procedures, fire prevention and safety standards.
Consistently work cooperatively with all staff and accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner.
Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.
Qualifications required :
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
One year’s experience in a rehabilitation or healthcare facility is preferred.
Must have effective communication skills to communicate effectively with residents, visitors, and coworkers.
Must demonstrate the ability and willingness to work harmoniously with all levels of staff. This includes having patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm.
