PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:
Responsible for communicating with suppliers regarding Non-Conformances, FAIs, and PPAPs to ensure conformance to the Supplier Partnership Manual and engineering specifications. This position will report to Manager, Quality Assurance and will work with other Department managers as designated by QA Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Manage the daily workflow of first article inspections PPAP submittals.
Review, establish, and optimize SOPs and WIs for Supplier Quality functions
Communicate with suppliers regarding all non-conformances and assist in post-disposition action items.
Ensure conformance to the Supplier Partnership Manual.
Work closely with supply chain and operations to prioritize workload.
Prepare necessary reports and maintain all pertinent records.
May be involved in quality assurance programs and procedures with outside vendors if needed.
Perform other SQE related tasks as assigned by Quality Manager.
Good understanding of Corrective and Preventative Actions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate degree in engineering or equivalent.
- 3-5 years’ experience in a Quality environment.
- CQE or CQT certified individuals preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints (critical)
- Thorough understanding of gaging, GD&T, and precision measurement techniques.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams.
