This is what we need from you:
- Contribute to a coke-handling team by operating several pieces of equipment that will help move, stockpile, and load material onto trucks
- Operate any one of the following on a daily basis: a KOMATSU WA500 Loader (or equivalent), Skidsteer and a Material Handler
- Assist the operation with other tasks deemed necessary to meet customer expectations, i.e. maintenance, clean-up, safety observations and inspections
- Perform thorough pre- and post-trip inspections
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment
- Expand personal knowledge of operating equipment
- Report maintenance issues to the maintenance crew
- Understand our critical service requirements and see they are met
- Take an active role in our safety program including attendance at all safety meetings and ensure safe behaviors
- Ensure environmental compliance
- Extensive experience operating large pieces of heavy equipment
- Read, write, speak and understand English
- Work safely, efficiently and thoroughly with no supervision
- This position requires Team Members to work weekends, holidays and rotating schedules
- Comfortable with heights including the ability to walk up and down conveyor belt lines and climb ladders
