Benefits of working here at Savage   Excellent Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance, and short and long-term disability  401K with company match and profit sharing    Three weeks of PTO to start   Paid Holidays      Outstanding Culture, opportunities for growth   We provide Uniforms & PPE (no cost to Team Members) Here is what you will be doing  Daily load/unloading of materials to/from trailers and rail cars, understand and follow operating procedures and policies  Learn to operate rail car loading systems and equipment, perform work safely and productively, cross-train on all functions at the facility, and perform general maintenance on equipment  Enforce safety policies and procedures with other Team Members and visitors  Assist with other duties within the facility (general maintenance, landscape upkeep, and painting)  Requirements of a successful Operator   Forklift experience (2 years) required  Heavy equipment experience is a plus Read, write, and understand English, High School Diploma or GED equivalent, basic math skills, computer skills (light data entry)  Valid Driver's License    Qualified candidates must be able to pass an extensive background check, a Pre-Employment Drug Screen , and a Physical Here are some of the physical requirements for this role  This position is outside in ALL weather conditions (heat, rain, cold temperatures) Physically able to climb up and down rail equipment/ladders safely  Willing to work with break bulk and dry bulk materials  Can carry at least fifty (50) pounds
