Saval Foodservice, a family-owned leader in food distribution, is seeking a Fresh Poultry and Seafood Purchaser to join our team. This in-person role is vital to ensuring our customers receive the highest quality products at competitive prices.

Must have good organizational skills, can manage and prioritize multiple tasks/situations simultaneously, while maintaining a can-do attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: Replenish inventory and maintain optimal stock levels to meet customer demand while minimizing waste.
- Market Expertise: Stay informed on market trends, pricing, and availability of fresh poultry and seafood.
- Supplier Relations: Negotiate supplier programs, build strong vendor relationships, and secure the best possible terms.
- Source, Evaluate and Purchase products
- Responsible for reviewing purchase orders and timely deliveries
- Work with suppliers to resolve product and service related issues
- RFP Execution: Develop and execute Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to evaluate and select suppliers.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Analyze purchasing trends and sales data to make informed procurement decisions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to align purchasing strategies with company goals.
Qualifications:
- Organized: Exceptional ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient with inventory management software, spreadsheets, and analytics tools.
- Strong Analytical Skills: Comfortable with numbers, pricing calculations, and market analysis.
- In-Person Role: This position requires daily presence at our headquarters in Elkridge, Maryland.
- Experience: Previous experience in purchasing or supply chain management in the foodservice industry.
