Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Furniture Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping customers find the perfect furniture pieces for their homes, a strong background in sales, and the ability to effectively use social media and other sales channels to drive business. The ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in selecting furniture that meets their needs and preferences.
- Provide product information and recommendations based on customer inquiries and preferences.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Utilize social media platforms and other digital channels to promote products and drive customer engagement.
- Maintain the showroom's appearance by arranging furniture displays and ensuring all items are presentable and clean.
- Handle and lift furniture items up to 50 lbs when assisting with customer purchases, showroom setup, or inventory management.
- Stay up-to-date with product knowledge, including features, benefits, and availability.
- Communicate with customers in both English and Spanish, if bilingual, to provide excellent customer service.
- Meet and exceed sales targets and contribute to team goals.
- Assist with inventory control, including restocking and managing stock levels.
- Participate in training sessions and staff meetings as required.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the furniture or retail industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) and other digital sales channels.
- Ability to lift and move furniture items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly desirable.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems.
