PRIMARY FUNCTION: This position is responsible for maintaining and supporting the District’s business systems and assisting with improving processes, procedures, and documentation.
REPORTS TO: Executive Director Business Information Systems
SALARY SCHEDULE: G-11
WORK DAYS: 250
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education Level: Associate degree in Information Technology or related field.
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field.
Experience, Skill, and Certification:
- One or more years of experience working on a relational database system, extracting data, and creating custom reports.
- Working knowledge of report development tools, i.e., SQL, Power BI, python.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and database systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills, analytical/design skills, and ability to identify data and data model inconsistencies and conflicts.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills - ability to work well and get along with various customers and other technical personnel.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills -ability to write comprehensive reports and detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or configure computer programs.
- Preferred:Knowledge of cloud-based architectures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Documents direction, structure, processes, and requirements of the business information systems.
- Maintains and provides customer support/training of day-to-day operations.
- Quality control: Performs data auditing and validation to ensure the accuracy of system data. Provides quality control reports to customers and business systems staff.
- Assists in the collection and consolidation of business information data for report generation.
- Creates and maintains process maps and diagrams on workflows.
- Assists with testing of patches and new functionality.
- Accurately completes and submits routine and ad hoc reports to customers and management.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with schools, departments, and support personnel.
- Identifies business system’s strengths and weaknesses and suggests areas of improvement.
- Perform related duties as required to support district needs.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Incumbents will be considered “at will.” Appropriate pay will be determined based on the Grade as determined by Human Resources and allowable experience. This will be a 250-day position.
