Tennis Attendant

Job Summary:

The Tennis Attendant is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the tennis facilities. This role involves ensuring that the tennis courts are properly prepared for play, providing assistance to players, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the tennis area. Additionally, the Tennis Attendant may assist with scheduling court reservations, managing equipment, and promoting a positive and welcoming environment for players and guests.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare tennis courts for play by ensuring nets are properly set up, lines are visible, and court surfaces are clean and free from debris.

2. Greet players and provide assistance with court reservations, equipment rental, and other inquiries.

3. Monitor court usage and enforce facility rules and regulations to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all players.

4. Assist with equipment maintenance, including checking and maintaining tennis balls, racquets, and other accessories.

5. Keep tennis facilities clean and organized, including sweeping courts, emptying trash receptacles, and maintaining restroom facilities.

6. Assist with the setup and breakdown of special events or tournaments held at the tennis facility.

7. Provide basic instruction or assistance to players, as needed, including answering questions about rules or etiquette.

8. Maintain accurate records of court reservations, rental equipment, and other relevant information.

9. Collaborate with other staff members to coordinate maintenance tasks, facility improvements, and special projects.

10. Promote a positive and welcoming atmosphere for players and guests, encouraging participation in tennis programs and activities.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Previous experience working in a customer service or hospitality role preferred.

- Knowledge of tennis rules, equipment, and basic court maintenance techniques.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with players of all ages and skill levels.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

- Basic computer skills for maintaining records and processing reservations.

- Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks that may require bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.

- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
