Our environment is team oriented, fast paced and safety focused.Duties / Responsibilities : Work with management to establish and achieve sales goals.Helps establish and maintain progressive sales and marketing program for solicitation and management of accounts; maintains viable prospecting program to guarantee continuous flows of sales leads; establishes priorities for sales efforts based on profitability.Remains knowledgeable on market conditions and trends that can impact sales.Determine current rates in the marketplace offered by competitors.Act as a liaison between the customers and operations staff.Meets with potential customers to analyze their movements, commodities handled, and destinations; relates those needs to management; utilizes technology to establish internal contacts, arrange interviews, and conduct follow-up activity. Follows up on initial sales calls.Provide personal accessibility to all accounts regarding contacts with existing accounts to guarantee good service.Maintenance of current customers : Including analysis of current lanes to assure we are competitive and providing excellent service. Remaining visible in the logistics community and being accessible to clients and prospects.Identifying and executing on cross-sell opportunities from existing customers.Act as a player and a coach - bring on new business, in addition to coaching potential sales representatives.Manage sourcing of customers. Build and maintain relationships with customers and assist and direct team members in sourcing and growing customer base.Development of sales leaders including succession planning.Performs other duties as assigned.Required Skills / Abilities : Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Experience with transportation and logistics industries preferred.Sales experience with success in the cold-calling environment.Ability to make quick, smart business decisions.Ability to effectively train others, preferably with experience in doing so.Outstanding organizational skills, excellent time management skills, ability to multitask.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Education and Experience : Bachelor's degree preferred.Proven record of growing business and starting new accounts.At least three years of sales experience required.Physical Requirements : Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to travel.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.All offers are contingent upon criminal background check and drug screen.
