Job Title: Assistant Tennis/Pickleball Professional
Location: Savannah Quarters Country Club, Pooler, GA

Position Summary:
Savannah Quarters Country Club is seeking a dedicated and energetic Assistant Tennis/Pickleball Professional to join our team. This individual will assist in providing high-quality tennis and pickleball programming for members and guests, ensuring an exceptional experience on and off the court. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for the sport, excellent communication skills, and the ability to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for players of all skill levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in organizing and conducting tennis and pickleball lessons, clinics, camps, and group instruction for juniors and adults.
• Support the Director of Tennis with planning and managing tournaments, leagues, social events, and special programs.
• Provide private lessons tailored to individual skill levels and development goals.
• Promote a positive and engaging atmosphere that encourages participation in tennis and pickleball activities.
• Help oversee the maintenance of courts, equipment, and facilities to ensure a clean and professional environment.
• Assist with managing reservations, scheduling, and member communications related to tennis and pickleball activities.
• Stringing racquets
• Serve as a representative of Savannah Quarters Country Club, building strong relationships with members and fostering a sense of community.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a tennis or pickleball instructor, coach, or assistant professional (preferred).
• USPTA or PTR certification for tennis (or willingness to obtain). Pickleball coaching certifications are a plus.
• Strong knowledge of tennis and pickleball rules, techniques, and strategies.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work with players of all ages and skill levels.
• Highly motivated, organized, and dependable with a passion for sports and customer service.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on the club’s programming schedule.
• Physical ability to be on the court for extended periods and lift/move equipment as needed.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
• Commission 70% - 30% of lessons

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and actively coach for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds occasionally.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
