What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Institutional Planning position at Savannah River National Laboratory?
The primary purpose of this position is to provide vision, leadership, management, and oversight of institutional planning for Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL) and associated key elements that further SRNL’s science and technology objectives. Reporting to SRNL’s Laboratory Director, the incumbent will be responsible for the collaborating with the SRNL Leadership Team to develop and integrate SRNL's research and operations strategy and laboratory agenda as well as measuring its progress and assessing the tools used in its implementation. The three principal responsibilities of this function are to provide leadership for the execution of Laboratory strategy; drive the institutional planning process; and assure that integrated capability management across the institution is aligned with Laboratory strategy. The incumbent is expected to function at an institutional level, working closely with the leadership of the Laboratory as well as with colleagues at other institutions outside SRNL.
