Job Description
The Savannah River National Laboratory’s Weapons Production Technology Directorate’s Advanced Engineering Division is seeking to hire a currently enrolled college student who pursuing an undergraduate degree or a recent college graduate to work around 40 hours per week this summer and at least twenty and up to forty hours per week thereafter for up to one year as a Limited-Service Employee. The candidate will assist laboratory staff in a variety of administrative, communication, and purchase requisitioning related assignments. This position will primarily focus on generating purchase requisitions for materials, items, services, and equipment. This position will provide a professional learning opportunity that offers a meaningful, practical work-related experience.

Weapons Production Technology (WPT) is a world leader in tritium fuel cycles with a strong industrial partnership, including most private companies working on fusion research. WPT also leads the Tokomak Exhaust System Development Project for the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor. The staff of 300 in this vibrant organization are leading the frontiers of tritium effects on materials, hydrogen science, fusion related research, plutonium metallurgy, sensing and metrology, advanced engineering, and advanced manufacturing.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Pursuing or earned a Bachelor’s level degree
- Must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 from an accredited four-year college or university
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
