What You'll Do in This Position
The hourly base rate of pay for this internship starts at $18.00, and may increase based on major and class standing.
This position is for a student pursuing an environmental, chemical or general engineering degree and / or a degree in a related science. This position is for a student pursuing an environmental, chemical or general engineering degree and / or a degree in a related science. Tasks may include but not limited to updating environmental training material, performing environmental field walkdowns, researching chemical data to support waste characterization, field and desktop work associated with the staging and managing of hazardous wastes, assisting Air Subject Matter Experts on Title V Permit renewal application, working with technical staff on method efficiencies to the Environmental Bioassay Laboratory, working with Environmental Monitoring Program staff on the Annual Site Environmental Report, and various environmental compliance and monitoring support functions, as needed.
Qualifications We Require
Must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5.
Must be a full-time student at an accredited four-year college or university, or within one year after finishing a degree program.
Must have completed freshman year of college.
Must successfully complete Savannah River Site General Employee Training and substance abuse processing.
