What You'll Do in This Position
The hourly base rate of pay for this internship starts at $18.00, and may increase based on major and class standing.
Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS) is looking to hire summer interns for 2025. This position will assist the SRSFD Administrative Staff with duties relating to supporting Training, Work Control, EMS, and Drills / Exercises. The selected intern will perform meaningful work in support of the organization. This may include, procedure review / writing; program planning; small project design and scheduling; developing and delivering training; planning and conducting drills and exercises; designing, developing and maintaining emergency response equipment; and, providing coordination with SRS emergency management authorities.
Work creatively with the SRSFD to deliver support that further strengthens SRNS safety culture and performance. Topical areas of expertise should include basic understanding of emergency service and response with relevant experience in Fire Suppression and / or Emergency Medical Services or Rescue.
Qualifications We Require
Must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5.
Must be a full-time student at an accredited four-year college or university, or within one year after finishing a degree program.
Must have completed freshman year of college.
Must successfully complete Savannah River Site General Employee Training and substance abuse processing.
