Job Summary
Reporting to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), the incumbent serves as the first line of support for ITS. The position provides administrative support to direct the business management activities of the department. Major responsibilities include greeting and directing customers, answering and routing phone calls, managing office inventory and purchasing, filing, and typing various correspondence to include e-mails, memos, etc. The incumbent may be required to perform job-related tasks not specifically delineated in this description.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for day-to-day activities in the office, providing administrative support to the department.
- Provide support to the department staff by handling and routing phone calls, visitors, and mail
- Prepare purchase card requests, check requests, and the like for the acquisition of supplies and equipment; manage office inventory
- Enter requisitions and assist the CIO in tracking and budgeting campus expenditures.
- Research and provide computer configurations for new computer system purchases
- Compose and prepare correspondence for distribution
- Maintain office records and files
- Serves as backup for the Helpdesk and assists with requests from campus users for the work order system; serves as the initial point of contact for work order requests
- Manages travel and expense processes for department staff
- Provide users with instructional support for using network applications
- Assists with providing support to faculty, staff, and students
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in business management or related field
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Suite and computer operating systems
- At least 2 years of office/administrative support experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business management or related field along with the minimum requirements to perform the work
- Work experience in higher education
Proposed Salary
The proposed salary range is $37,000.00 - $42,000.00 annually.

- Knowledge of basic office equipment such as computer, printer, scanner, fax machine, etc.
- Knowledge of computer software and programs
- Knowledge of basic security precautions needed to protect client data
- Skilled in problem solving and analysis
- Skilled in communication to include oral, written, and interpersonal
- Ability to maintain a positive orientation towards professionalism and customer service
- Ability to provide Administrative support
- The work is typically performed in an office while sitting at a desk or table with intermittent walking, standing or stooping
- The work requires occasional lifting up to 15 pounds
- This position does not have direct supervision of classified staff but may supervise student employees.
