OVERVIEW: The Bench Repairs Technician reports to the Repairs Supervisor and performs in-plant service and repair functions on Handicare products. The Repairs Technician may also be responsible for certain duties related to production, assembly, QC inspection, recall coordination, technical training, complaint investigations, and field repairs.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Bench Repairs Technician reports to the Repairs Supervisor, responsible for the entire returns process.
- Communicates the return and repairs process with vendors, customers, colleagues, and supervisor involved in the return process.
- Ensure that the repair process follows appropriate procedure and maintains documents, as necessary.
- Contributes to the development of processes and procedures.
- Assist with maintaining inventory of spare parts in the service & repair department.
- Additional duties as assigned or required by management.
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

- Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals. Ability to write report correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before group of customers or employees of the organization.
- Associate's degree (A.A) or equivalent from a two-year college or university and 5 or more years of assembly, maintenance and service experience with mechanical motors. Experience with Prism Medical, Medcare and Handicare products preferred.
- Must be proficient in the basic operation of Microsoft Windows, MS Office, Microsoft Dynamics (or related ERP system) and internet navigation.
- The employee may frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch during shift. Employee will be required to regularly sit, use hand to finger, handle, feel and reach with hands and arms. Employee must be able to occasionally lift and or move up to 50 lbs.
- This position may travel up to 10 % of the time.
- This position works in an environment with moderate noise levels.
