POSITION SUMMARY: As an HR Business Partner for Savaria Patient Care, you will be a key member of the HR team, providing operational support and strategic input across a range of HR functions for an employee base of 120 individuals. This hands-on position requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is approachable, and can manage multiple HR processes while maintaining high employee service standards. Reporting to the HR Director, you'll provide essential support to employees and managers, ensuring alignment with company HR policies and practices. This position is 100% on-site at 10888 Metro Ct, Maryland Heights, MO 63043.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

HR Operations

  • Act as the primary contact for leaders and employees in person, via telephone, and email, providing guidance/clarity around questions on HR policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Partner with the Payroll and Benefits team with worked/time off hours, data processing, and validation
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to facilitate full-cycle recruitment and onboarding

Implementation and Delivery of Core People Processes

  • Assist in delivering and implementing HR programs, policies, and processes, ensuring they drive best practices and consistency across the business unit and corporate HR strategic priorities.
  • Analyze HR information and report on KPIs to identify trends or issues and proactively develop solutions.
  • Operate within the HR & Payroll technology platform (ADP Workforce Now) to ensure smooth data management and operational efficiency.

Performance Management & Engagement

  • Assist managers with the performance management process, offering support and guidance on setting performance goals, conducting performance reviews, and addressing performance issues.
  • Help identify employee development opportunities and support managers in coaching their teams for growth.
  • Facilitate training and development programs that support employee growth and organizational needs.
  • Assist in creating, maintaining, and communicating HR and company policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance across the organization.

Skills, Education & Personal Attributes

  • Post-secondary education in HR, plus a minimum of 3-5 years of progressive HR experience
  • Completion or working toward PHR or SHRM-CP designation
  • Working experience and knowledge of ADP Workforce Now and associated business processes
  • Ability to offer sound judgment, recommendations, opinions, and suggestions based on sound HR knowledge
  • Knowledge of current trends and issues in HR and other employment-related legislation and how to apply them
  • Experience in building, managing, and maintaining employee and leader relationships
  • Proven ability to manage conflict and stressful situations
  • Highly organized in prioritizing work, multi-tasking, and consistently meeting deadlines within a fast-paced work environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and conduct work within appropriate privacy standards
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work in a collaborative team-based environment

Work Environment/Physical Demands

The general physical demands described here represent those that may be required to perform the job's essential functions successfully.

Individuals may sit or stand as needed. The position may require walking and/or climbing stairs periodically throughout the day, reaching above shoulder heights or below the waist, or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday. This may include occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds for files, boxes, etc.. Proper lifting techniques are required.

Primary environment: ambient room temperatures, lighting, and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment. The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to manufacturing areas, where the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and fully enclosed shoes (no open toe or heel) is required.
