Are you passionate about wine? Do you have a knack for creating memorable experiences? Saviana Winery is seeking a dynamic and charismatic Tasting Room Manager to manage our new location in beautiful downtown Lancaster, TX!
The Tasting Room Manager is responsible for providing exceptional customer service in our winery tasting room. This individual is responsible for hands-on management of the daily operations of the tasting room and ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction. This individual will ensure the tasting room and inventory areas are clean, organized and stocked at all times, will assist with the management of inventory and developing and monitoring tasting room policies and procedures. The manager must have the ability to develop relationships with customers and wine club members and will be knowledgeable about the winery’s wines, history, and will work with the winemaker to understand our winemaking process.
Responsibilities:
- Elevate the Tasting Experience: Craft an exceptional and immersive wine tasting experience for visitors, ensuring each guest leaves with a deep appreciation for our wines.
- Customer Engagement: Build lasting relationships with customers, wine club members, and industry professionals. Provide personalized recommendations and ensure an unparalleled level of customer satisfaction.
- Event Coordination: Organize and execute winery events, from intimate tastings to large-scale gatherings. Creativity is key to making each event a unique and memorable experience.
- Sales and Upselling: Drive sales through effective merchandising, promotions, and upselling strategies. Meet and exceed revenue targets while maintaining the integrity of the brand.
- Operational Excellence: Manage day-to-day tasting room operations, including inventory control, cash handling, and compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Social Media: Experience posting relevant content to various Social Media and create fun marketing campaigns for the business.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock of wines and merchandise.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to wine sales, responsible alcohol service, and health and safety standards.
- Communication: Ensure that communication with General Manager/Owner is consistent. Work with GM/Owner to generate ideas to promote increased sales, brand loyalty and overall profitability of the Tasting Room.
- Tasting Room Mgmt: Recruit, train, and schedule Tasting Room Associates to maintain exceptional customer service.
Hours and Compensation
- Thursday through Saturday, 2pm-10pm, with occasional hours on Wednesday or Sunday (approximately 24-30 hrs/week)
- Starts at $18 per hour gratuity (Guaranteed $20/hr). Bonuses for Wine Club signups
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a management role at a winery or restaurant
- WSET certification preferred
- Knowledge of Texas wines and grape-growing regions preferred
- Professional appearance
- The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Excellence in customer service and the ability to resolve conflicts with ease
- Must be a team player with the ability to mentor and help others
- Excellent people skills and a friendly demeanor
- Willing to study for and obtain a ServSafe or equivalent certification
- TABC Seller/Server certification Food Handler certification

Physical Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age
- Must have valid driver’s license and vehicle
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and bend for up to 8 hours per day
