ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION
SaVida Health is a specialty medical practice providing outpatient opiate and alcohol addiction treatment services. SaVida Health's care model includes medical care, counseling, comprehensive toxicology testing, case management and medical management of psychiatric medications. SaVida provides compassionate and individualized treatment programs to support those with substance use disorder.
DESCRIPTION
The NP's function is to evaluate clients on the need for Medication Assisted Treatment and subsequently monitor clients to assess symptom management, side effects and efficacy of prescribed medications. Upon prescribing psychoactive medications, the APRN will provide counseling to clients regarding compliance, dosing, side effects and any other necessary education that will benefit the client.
Essential Duties :
- Provide direct services to clients whom have been scheduled through the Senior Clinician per the agency referral process
- Provide thorough assessment and evaluation of client to determine best course of psychopharmacologic treatment
- Utilize supervision / consultation provided by the Medical Director
- Submit required administrative and clinical documentation within the agency standard time frame
- Participate in assessing community and agency's needs in the area of diagnosis and treatment
- Participate in diagnostic treatment and other clinical services provided by the agency
- Meet clinical productivity targets while maintaining excellent quality of care
- Work with Clinical Director, Practice Manager, and Senior Clinician to develop an integrated model of behavioral healthcare
- Consult with other staff members regarding the needs of clients
- Assure quality and safety of clinical care
- Attend agency clinical meetings; attend multidisciplinary meetings and approve case records as appropriate
- Perform other duties as requested by Manager or Supervisor
- Cover for vacationing or absent providers when needed
- Take part in a reasonable call system, for weekends and days the offices are closed, with other psychiatric colleagues in conjunction with administration
